Biography

Héloïse Mas studied piano at a very young age, then organ, before turning to singing (with Robert Boschiero at the CRD in Epinal and Elena Vassilieva in Paris). At the same time as her musical studies, she obtained a business degree in 2008. She then perfected her studies in Siena with Anastasia Tomaszewska Schepis. In 2010 she joined the National Conservatory of Music and Dance of Lyon (with Isabelle Germain and Fabrice Boulanger), obtaining in 2013 her licenses in interpretation and musicology then, in 2015, her Master of interpretation, unanimously with congratulations of the Jury.

 

She won the First Prize for Woman's Voice at the International Competition of the Festival des Nuits Lyriques en Marmandais (2013), as well as the "Best French Interpreter" Prize from the Franco-Québécois Office for Youth. The same year she participated in the recording of the album "Stella di Napoli" by Joyce DiDonato. In 2014 she was the Classic Revelation of ADAMI and in 2018, she earned two prizes in the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition.

 


During her studies she performed in the roles of Prince Orlovsky/DIE FLEDERMAUS (CNSMDL) ; Gontran/UNE EDUCATION MANQUÉE (Cité de la Voix Vézelay); la Bergère, le Pâtre, la Chatte, la Libellule et l’Ecureuil/L’ENFANT ET LES SORTILÈGES ET GIRL/TROUBLE IN TAHITI (Théâtre de Caen) ; Soeur Mathilde/DIALOGUE DES CARMÉLITES (Opéra National de Lyon); Lazuli/L’ETOILE (Opéra National de Montpellier) ; Dorabella/COSÌ FAN TUTTE (European Opera Center à Liverpool).

 


Since then, we have heard her in CARMEN (Mercédès and Carmen) and DIE WALKÜRE (Grand Théâtre de Genève) and Boulotte/BARBE BLEUE (Opéra National de Lyon, Laurent Pelly), CARMEN at the Festival Klassiek in Het Park en Belgique. Flamel/FANTASIO (Grand Théâtre de Genève), Robin-Luron/LE ROI CAROTTE (Opéra de Lille), Siebel/FAUST (Opéra de Monte Carlo), Maddalena/RIGOLETTO (Opéra de Nice), Stefano/ROMÉO ET JULIETTE (Opéra de Monte Carlo en tournée à Oman), Alcina/ORLANDO PALADINO (Opéra de Fribourg), The Sorceress/WHY SHOULD I GIVE UP MY FUN by Susannah Self (Vienne), the title role in LA PÉRICHOLE (Domaine d’Ô, Festival de Saint Céré et Antibes), Lazarille/DON CÉSAR DE BAZAN BY Massenet (Les Frivolités Parisiennes), Alto solo in ROMÉO ET JULIETTE by Berlioz with l'Orchestre Philharmonique du Maroc (dir. Hervé Niquet).

 


Héloïse Mas performs regularly in recitals and concerts (Young Talents Concert at the Forum d'Art Lyrique d'Arles; ADAMI 20th Anniversary Concert; ADAMI Classical Revelations recital at the Pablo Casals Festival in Prades and at the Chorégies d’Orange; Festival du Violon sur le Sable in Royan; Concert for Europe Day in Saint John Smith Square in London; at Morocco's Solar Festival; Voices Of Shakespeare recital with the Orchester National de Lorraine in Metz; the Academy Melodies and Creations of the Festival d'Aix en Provence, etc.).
